New dewatering facilities are added to two existing water treatment works in Tuen Mun and Silvermine respectively. The heart of the dewatering equipment are 6 nos 1200 x 1200mm size fully mechanised membrane filter presses sourced from Latham Engineering Services UK. Throughput of each press per day is 5.5 tonnes and 4 tonnes dry solids respectively with final cake dryness specified to be over 35%.
